Irina Kagan decided at four years old that she would be a violinist. Decades later, she has earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of Puget Sound, Master of Music from the University of Kentucky, and Graduate Certificate in Violin Performance from Western Michigan University.

Over the years, Irina has been fortunate enough to perform with many exceptional artists including Itzhak Perlman and Marvin Hamilsch, and at historic venues such as the Rudolfinum (Prague) and Carnegie Hall (New York City).

In addition to teaching aspiring violinists like her four-year-old self, Irina currently performs with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, and the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.

She is also available for weddings, fundraisers, and other events seeking an experienced and professional violinist.
